Sustainable Saratoga’s 5th annual “Saratoga Recycles Day” is coming up!! This popular community event is planned and run by Sustainable Saratoga’s amazing and dedicated volunteers, who have added new community partners to collect even more items and keep them out of the landfill.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
There will be a $5 entrance fee per vehicle (cash or check only).
TVs and monitors will be collected for an additional $30 fee per item (limit 4 per vehicle).
Please bring exact change to limit physical contact and the exchange of money.
Please sort your items according to the drop-off stations listed below to limit physical contact between you and our volunteers.
Sustainable Saratoga is working on COVID-related safety measures to protect both the public and our volunteers, so please check back for additional instructions closer to October 2.
COLLECTING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
Eyeglasses & Hearing Aids for the Saratoga Lions Club: sunglasses, eyeglasses, hearing aids in any condition. NO cases please.
Cell Phones with Chargers for Wellspring
Farm Tools for Pitney Meadows Community Farm: Hand tools (good condition), watering cans, hoses, sprinklers, soaker hoses, garden hose attachments, hoes, spades, metal rakes, etc. No Motorized Tools (i.e., lawn mowers, edgers, weed whackers)
Musical Instruments for We Are Instrumental (any condition): Woodwind and brass instruments: flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones, trumpets french horns, trombones, baritones and tubas. String instruments: violins, violas, cellos, basses. Any condition. No pianos or drum sets.
Clothing & Shoes for B.E.S.T.: men’s work clothing, including jeans, hoodies, jackets, boots, work shoes, backpacks, and blankets for backstretch workers.
Children’s Clothing, Backpacks & Reusable Bags for The Domestic Violence Project of Warren & Washington Counties (clean, new or gently used): backpacks, grocery bags, tote bags, children’s clothes size 2t to 10/12
Clothing & Household Textiles for American Clothing Company (any condition): clothes, coats, shoes, belts, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, backpacks, sheets, quilts, comforters, towels, rags, etc. NO pillows, carpeting, or rugs with rubber backing.
Bicycles for Bikeatoga: Adult bikes, 20- and 24-inch mountain bikes. No helmets; no kids’ bikes
Electronics & Small Appliances for Recycling: microwaves, toasters, blenders, coffee machines, hot plates, cable or satellite receivers, audio/visual equipment, phones, computers & accessories, printers, VCRs, DVD players, video game systems, wiring & cables, etc. NO smoke detectors, thermostats, large appliances or batteries.
Televisions & Monitors for Recycling: We WILL be accepting TVs and monitors again this year, for an additional $30 fee, with a limit of 4 per vehicle.
Metal Objects for Recycling: basketball hoops, grills, unusable bikes, metal lawn care equipment, etc. for scrap metal recycling. No large appliances.
