American Politics & Community Today

  • Saratoga Arts 320 Broadway Saratoga Springs, New York (map)

What does it mean to be an American in the 21st century? What does a model American do, and what responsibilities do Americans have to their communities and each other?

This workshop series will explore these questions and more through the lens of Ralph Ellison’s writings, group discussion and community art-making. Readings and location will be announced 2 weeks before each workshop on these platforms: Private FB group “Ellison Saratoga”, CREATE Community Studios website, SEEN/MLK Saratoga Newsletter.

Books are available to borrow from the Saratoga Springs Public Libraries Book Club section and SEEN Free Little Libraries. Books are for sale at a discounted rate at Northshire Bookstore.
