C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios in collaboration with SEEN (Saratoga Educational Equity Network) is thrilled to announce that the next series in their community reading, discussion and art-making groups will focus on James Baldwin's Collected Essays.
Baldwin's writings are accessible but challenging, provoking us to continue conversations about identity, American politics, community, the role of art, and the place of history in contemporary life. Join us March 21, April 4, April 18, May 2, and May 16, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at our Saratoga studio at 70 Beekman St.
Books are available at a discount at Northshire if you want your own copy or like to mark things up, and books will be available to borrow for participants in attendance. In the meantime, the first reading is also available on Google Books, along with the Ebony archive.
