Saratoga Immigration Coalition hosts second "All Are Welcome Here" Walk & Vigil, Tue., Aug. 28th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
This event is a time the community can come together, regardless of race, religion or political leanings. The Walk is peaceful and silent, starting from 3 locations in Saratoga Springs: City Center and Temple Sinai on North Broadway; Beekman St. & Oak; Union Ave. & East at the race track entrance.
All starting-walk sites were chosen for historical and current immigrant significance. Walkers will gather at the Spirit of Life Monument in Congress Park at 6:40 for a short program to join in peaceful acknowledgement of the contributions immigrants make in our daily lives. Local artists, immigrants, clergy and citizens will contribute to the program of spoken word and song. This is a family friendly event.
Please bring you own electric light/candle, if possible. All signs should be positive and non-political, focusing on support and gratitude for immigrants.
